An experienced real estate and hospitality professional, Stu Hansen serves as the Vice President of Marquee Asset Management, LLC <http://www.peoplepond.com/stuhansenshelterassetmanagement> , which has multiple divisions. In addition, Stu Hansen serves as President of Shelter Asset Management, one of the Marquee subsidiaries. In his leadership roles, he assists the companies in establishing California operations, which includes hiring personnel. Stuart Hansen joined Canada’s Drewco Development Corporation, the parent company of Marquee, six years ago. He continues to contribute as the organization’s Vice President of International Investments.

Starting as a Market Researcher with Clarion Hotels, he completed his tenure as a Vice President with the Clarion Group of Companies. As Vice President, he focused on redevelopment projects that changed hotels into shopping centers and oversaw the divestiture of many millions worth of other hotel properties.
In order to prepare for his career, Stuart Hansen attended the University of Western Ontario, where he studied business administration. He completed a specialized HBA/MBA program. A strong student, he received a number of scholarships and appeared on the dean’s honors list.
